Review of Riding Steele: Wanted by Opal Carew

Riding Steele #4: Wanted
Riding Steele #4: Wanted by Opal Carew

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In Wanted we find Steele and the boys have whisked Laurie away to avoid her being arrested on trumped up theft charges brought by Donovan. This gives Laurie a look into what life on the open road could be like if she chooses to be Steele’s woman. As someone who moved a lot as a child, Laurie’s not sure if she can deal with the nomadic lifestyle. She needs roots and stability that life on the back of a bike doesn’t provide.

While Laurie struggles with the decision, her relationship with Steele continues to grow and she learns just what is expected of her should she remain with them. Steele likes to watch and gets off in sharing his joy with his men – his joy being Laurie. While the scene was effing hot, I was surprised when Laurie allowed herself to be shared by the other men. I love a good DP scene and Ms. Carew definitely delivered on it, but it still seemed out of character for Laurie. Yes, she has progressed quite a bit since her “kidnapping,” but it felt like it been timed a bit too soon especially when she’s not sure if she wants to remain with Steele. But that was not the only surprise in this installment in the Riding Steele series and I’m looking forward to Crossroads to find out what happens next.

I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
